The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic is a regional clinic with outpatient units in Umeå, Lycksele, and Skellefteå. The clinic also includes a BUP care unit located in Umeå. BUP Västerbotten is a USVE unit with close collaboration with universities and research. Within the clinic, we work in interdisciplinary teams and the work is carried out in close cooperation with the patient's family and other networks. The outpatient unit in Umeå is located in newly built premises within the hospital area.

This spring, we will strengthen our assessment and investigation team with two psychologists. In the investigation team, we meet children and adolescents with suspected neuropsychiatric conditions, as well as other difficulties such as psychotic symptoms, personality issues, or concurrent somatic conditions. The team is continuously engaged in development work to ensure that each child receives the right intervention and further support as part of the implementation of standardized care processes.

We have clear goals that we achieve by inspiring each other to creative improvement work. At the same time, we emphasize creating a health-promoting work environment in our units. We offer professional meetings, team time, and external method supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a psychologist with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better. The psychologist role at BUP involves working independently and as part of a team with the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents who require treatment at a specialized child psychiatric level. In your work, you will meet and treat children and adolescents with more severe psychiatric conditions. For this position, the main focus will be on assessment and investigation. The assignment may change over time based on the needs of the organization in dialogue with you as an employee.

As a psychologist, you work with evidence-based methods according to the current guidelines. You independently plan, implement, and evaluate your treatment interventions. You also participate in teamwork and collaboration with colleagues as needed. Working with us also involves consulting and collaborating with schools, preschools, social services, and other clinics within healthcare. This work enables and creates conditions for seeing the patient from a holistic perspective.

Since we are a regional clinic, travel to other units may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this job, you need to be a licensed psychologist. We prefer that you have experience working with children and adolescents, familiarity with assessment and investigation, training in ADOS and/or ADI-R, and other relevant assessment instruments for the assignment. It is advantageous if you are a specialist or currently in specialist training. You have an interest in working in a structured and evidence-based manner.

You are a secure and structured person with a professional approach. You are responsible and adaptable to changing circumstances. Since we work a lot in teams, we see that you enjoy collaborating and being there for both colleagues and patients.
